Moments are fleeting, but photos last a lifetime.
I’ve always been a creative hobbyist (painting, dancing, knitting - you name it) but didn’t start dabbling in photography until 2017 with an entry-level camera borrowed from a friend. I was hooked from there and fell in love with the theory and art of the craft. Completely self-taught, I only had myself to practice on, so much of my early work consisted of (often terrible) self-portraits in less-than-desirable conditions.
After refining my skill and investing in my gear, I knew I loved photographing people, creating rich tones and capturing intimate but creative moments. I feel most connected to the universe looking out at a beautiful landscape, and naturally whip out my phone or camera to capture the moment whenever I travel. As a music lover, I’ve naturally got in to music and concert photography. There’s something magical about being immersed in a crowd or in the pits, capturing the moment between a performer and their audience.
When I’m not taking pictures in my spare time I’m discovering a new part of the world, or at home watering my plants, playing video games and eating vegan pizza with my partner Adam.
